WHY IS SUMMER NOT HERE?

Seriously some of the coolest things I've ever made have been on Wednesday nights!
Like these awesome crayon art idea things... They're awesome right?!(: I found the idea on a wonderful little site i like to call pinterest, and as a group we decided to embellish them with something that would represent us! They turned out a billion times better than we ever could of hoped and the only down side was the loss of my favorite sweats, that now resemble somewhat of a rainbow!

you start by hot gluing on your box of crayons

you tape where you don't want the color to run and then blow dry the middle of the crayons

and ta-da!!! a violinist above and a musical something below!

Another one of our fabulous ideas involved blind make overs, you might be wondering how exactly this fits into the yw program, so I'll take this opportunity to enlighten you! Because of our divine nature our inner beauty should be what speaks louder than our outer beauty! So our challenge was to trust our partner and then, with our crazy make up, we would be POSITIVE that they loved us for who we are, and not our pink and purple exterior(: Stephanie and I definitely won the most insane look, and were the first people kicked out of the competition to see whose would look the best! Whooo!!!

 

 No need to tell us we are attractive, we know. 

The countdown begins!

February 22. Exactly 15 days away. 15 days away from my sweet 16 birthday. Boo-freakin-ya. I'm so excited!!! This year, to celebrate this monumental event, me and mi madre are taking a trip to New York over spring break! Being 16 this spring also means another thing.... PROM. I've been searching for the perfect dress for weeks and finally found one that will suit all of my girl needs. I don't want to go overboard for only my sophomore year, so I'll give you an overview. It's tea-length, black and pink print (semi-floral) high necked, open back, and it's currently undergoing modifications to help it meet the modest criteria! I have been asked, to another guy's school prom, but the date conflicted with my show choir spring show! My life as a 16 year old is already exciting! It can only get better from here! Oh and here are some extra pictures from my chicken showing at the fort worth stock show! Whoo! Even with bugs he was still #1!

BUSY.

There is a lot going on right now. Everything feels like it is go go go go go!! With no stopping!! I feel sooo blessed when I get 7 hours of sleep! Seminary has started, so all hope of sleep has ended! There's no such thing as down time, but I'm going to try and blog as much as possible in these 30 seconds of life we teenagers dream of! One word describes this chaotic week, HOMECOMING. it was fantastic!! Every day a different theme, ended by a colossal day of mum-mania! Our raider football team ended it perfectly by continuing its 5-0 record!!(: But it was the little things that made this week special, it was making mums with my mom and sister, taking absolutely ridiculous pictures in our pjs in choir, finally starting to be an actual show choir (wish me luck first performance is on thursday eeek!!!) and laughing so hard I almost died. I wish I could add pictures but I just got a new phone so that will have to wait!! I've started a new thing that is actually going really well! I decided to play basketball this year so I'm sorta horrifyed that I will have forgotten everything over the past year and be supppeerrrr out of shape so I've been running 3 miles every other day!! I was so excited this week because I'm finally NOT sore!(: its usually not allowed for people who aren't in athletics to play, but the coach loves me... enough said! Music has taken over my life! All region choir auditions are next weekend and I'm freaking out! I got really far last year as a freshman so a lot of pressure is riding on me to do as well as last year if not better! So this week my goal is to practice every single say without fail(: so excited to actually start keeping this updated again, I'll post pictures next time!

New Years!

As I am 14 I can (finally) go to the new years dance!! Whoop whoop! I had a friend who went with me and we met up with some friends to go to dinner before!

The trials of finding an appropriate mormon dance dress are ridiculous, but I got lucky! (:

This week was homecoming! We had a theme everyday this week and ended with a blue-out and mums!

First day was dress your best. I wore this with a shrug and heels! (:

Summer :(

Summer is almost over and I am super sad! I only have two weeks left and plan to live them to the fullest!! Whoop! Which will probably include sitting around procrastinating on that assignment that is due in two weeks and pure awesomeness. Well as an update I am now home to Texas! While we were gone it never got over 85 degrees... I'm pretty sure its 104 here. We had a ton of fun and saw more movies then I have seen in forever! If you have to go see any movie go. see. salt. It was the craziest movie ever. I loved it!! Well now I'm off to a choir camp!

Aspen Grove!!

Aspen Grove! That name makes me sing... Aspen Grove is a family camp of sorts run by the BYU alumni and it is soooooo fun!!

For the Aspen Follies as a group we had to do some crazy things! Like in this we have to all run in this big tire thing and pass some awesome cones!

This was one of the final group Teen (my group for the week) pictures... such weird/awesome people.

Well we also have to do a song but cuz we're teens and are in no way going to learn a song from Joseph and the Technicoat of many colors we did the next best thing.... interpretive dance and lipsing!! The girl in the pink dance is Anica and she was the lead girl... hahahahahaha soooo funny watching her break down as a crazy old man Egyptian while we we're back up dancers.

Yupp thats about it and it was awesome. I can't wait until next year!!

Cliff Jumping!

Ok so I've been in Utah for almost 3 weeks now and I think one of my favorite things I've done is... cliff jumping!! It was totally crazy but totally super fun! I was the first to jump off all of the ledges besides Brando (but he doesn't really count). So anyway we jumped 35 feet off of crazy cliffs into ice cold water whoo hoo!!

I swam across the lake to Mack where she was on this big rock and there was no better way to celebrate than with muscles!

Soda

We have had a sad time in our family lately. Our dog Soda suffered from heat exhaustion and passed away yesterday. We are all very sad and will miss him greatly. I found some pics of him from when we first brought him home. He was so tiny!!

Eclipse!

For Mack's birthday Me Leighana and her now to be referred to as MLM had a little party at our friends' house and used their home theatre to have a twilight marathon. The next morning we went to Eclipse!! It was so good. Like amazing! It was by far the best and not just because there was a lot of shirtless Jacob. My new favorite line from there is one Edward says when dropping off Bella at Jacob's house and says "doesn't he own a shirt?" haha it was the best movie by far!

Toy Story 3 Sneak Peek Clip "Spanish Buzz" 2010 Movie from Disney + Pixa...

So me and a bunch of friends went to go see Toy Story 3 about a week ago. Well its my new favorite movie... just fyi. Anyway this is only a small part of what made this movie so amazing. Go spanish buzz!

LeeAnn Visit

My awesome aunt LeeAnn came into visit us and to go see Wicked and such! Wicked! Ahhh! Later the next day we took a Bronco ride and took awesome pictures!

We took this at Wicked right before the lights dimmed. No, really like RIGHT before. It was AMAZING! I mean I've never exactly been to a broadway musical before but it doesn't matter because this one was definitely the best!

Girls Camp!

The start of my summer was Girls Camp! It was so much fun and we had a blast! Two of my friends, Mack and Leighana are a year older than me and because they are so awesome they decided to stay back a year for me! When your a 3rd year (like we were) we have the great privilege of holding torches for Indian Princess night. We happened to find my phone in my pocket while they were still setting up and well... the rest is history.
